A new luxury watch brand start up ASOROCKwatches, whose name is influenced bythepalatial majestic mountains located in the center of Abuja (The capital of Nigeria). A watch whose designs were born in the USA, in the windy city Chicago, made in the glorious Japan and sold worldwide with Free shipping; Bridging gaps between nations and cultures. This company represents what globalisation truly is all about and how globalisation can bring us all together. All supporters of globalisation should get behind this.
Founded by a group of young African watch enthusiasts whos love and affection for watches created a desire tomake a positive long-lasting impact on the continent they come from AFRICA, by representing her in the luxury watch market of the world.
Been watch enthusiasts themselves, Ben and Andrew (founders) always felt like their collection was never complete and in the words of Andrew (co-founder) It always bothered us that we didnt have a single watch from an African source, the continent where the human race time arguably started from. Not finding one that suited their tastes further led them to the creation of ASOROCK Watches.
Not only do they make fantastic watches, this company is actually more of a charity at heart and have a solid social responsibility plan at the core of their foundation. Here is what Ben Iroala said Primarily, we know through the sales of our fantastically made watches worldwide,we will have the funds needed to bring our deep down personal dreams to the reality of been able to build libraries equipped with computers and Wi-Fi in various villages of Africa.
He goes on to further say, Because, we believe, you can spend a billion dollars today feeding the needy and tomorrow they will be hungry again. But, when you build empowering amenities such as a library for them to self-educate themselves, Wi-Fi for them to expand their horizons, basketball courts and such for them to find their talents, that is the best food you can give to the needy. We are not saying food aids are useless, no, but we want to fill the other part of aid which has been neglected and left void and that void which is the empowering of the needy.
Hearing that, I can already see the numerous job opportunities that can come from their goodwill projects to the local communities. As a librarian will have to be employed, a complex keeper and general tutors.
By December 2019 with 10% of each donation they get from their Indiegogo campaign, they plan to lay the foundation on their first youth complex in a rural village in Nigeria with a library fitted with computers equipped with Wi-Fi and free learning software and amenities such as a basketball court.A thank you to all backers as they will place a pillar in the middle of the complex with the names of all backers of their campaign and, fly the Indiegogo flag, the platform which they plan to use to raise funds to make available the first batch of Asorock watches available to the whole world.
They also have long-term plans of diversifying into other fashion accessories such as Sunglasses, Belts, Bracelets/Rings etc. Needless to say, they are here for the long-term and plan to take Asorock Watches and her subsidiaries such as Asorock Sunglasses to be a recognised worldwide brand one day and, it all starts from here with our token of support to them through theirIndiegogo campaign
After speaking with Ben and Andrew (The founders), I see the determination in their eyes. This brand isnt making minimalist watches, which is the excuse other micro watch brands which have entered the market recently use to sell low cost watches at exuberant prices, no , AsoRock went all in with no compromise on quality. Looking at their Monolith collection ($130) and speedracer ($110) They both are made of :-
• Sapphire anti scratch resistant glass,
• Japanese Miyota movement (same movement as other high-end brands)
Any true watch connoisseur already can seethey arent here to peddle junk. One can see they have really set out to create truly luxurious watches. what better feeling is there to getting a fantastically made watch and knowing a proceed of your purchase is going directly to empowering the youths of Africa?
And you may wonder, how do they plan to keep prices so low? The infographics shows how. But, by pledging to their campaign you can save more, by getting 40% OFF as anearly bird.
