While it was business as usual for Bella, Kaia and Gigi, the show comes at a difficult time as the trio join the fashion world in mourning following the death of Chanel and Fendi legend Karl.

While the models were pulling all their best moves, it was undoubtedly with a heavy heart after it was revealed on Tuesday that Karl passed away from pancreatic cancer, aged 85.  Chanel sources confirmed he had died in Paris after looking increasingly frail in recent seasons, and had suffered extremely ill health in recent weeks.

The catwalk was rounded out with the tribute to the designer, who was hired by Fendi to modernise their fur line in 1967, which proved a success when he began using mole, rabbit, and squirrel pelts in high fashion, before he stayed with the brand until his death.

His involvement with the brand led to much controversy, as in 2015Peta UK Director Mimi Bekhechi told The Independent: Fendis haute horreur and their hiring of Karl Lagerfeld, who dresses like an undertaker and enjoys putting corpses into his collections, is all quite shameful and pathetic.
